About Suzanna

Suzanna offers individual and couples counselling. She supports adults who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or difficulties affecting their mental health and overall well-being. She is passionate about helping people better understand themselves, develop healthy coping strategies, and navigate life's challenges. She has a particular interest in supporting women, including women of colour, who may be navigating cultural expectations, relationship dynamics, identity, self-confidence, and changes in their personal lives.

Suzanna believes counselling should be a comfortable and welcoming space where people feel heard, understood, and free to express themselves without judgment. She takes a supportive and collaborative approach, recognizing that everyone's experiences, backgrounds, and needs are different. Together, she works with clients to explore their concerns, identify their strengths, build practical coping skills, and work towards meaningful changes at a pace that feels right for them.

Suzanna is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Social Work from King's University College at Western University. She has experience supporting individuals with a range of mental health and social needs through community-based services, wellness programming, and individualized support.

Her professional experience includes providing psychoeducation, facilitating discussions around emotional regulation and self-care, and helping individuals develop skills to improve their overall well-being. She has also supported young adults and individuals navigating mental health challenges, while connecting people with appropriate community resources and services.

As a woman of colour who was born in Bangladesh and moved to Canada at the age of 12, Suzanna recognizes the importance of culturally responsive and inclusive mental health support. Her own experiences navigating different cultures and environments have shaped her appreciation for the ways cultural backgrounds, family expectations, and lived experiences can influence relationships, identity, and mental health. She strives to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and comfortable bringing their whole selves into counselling.

Outside of her professional work, Suzanna values maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. She enjoys working out, staying active, and making time for her physical well-being. She is very family-oriented and enjoys spending quality time with loved ones. She is also a big animal lover, especially when it comes to cats, and shares her home with two of her own!
